On his new album Living with the Living, Ted Leo is like totally upset about war, and also the government, and bombs, and propaganda. And I am too, but who knew the solution was as simple as a boring, sterile album full of Clash rip-offs? The album’s highlight, Sons of Cain, offers Teddy the opportunity to channel his energy into a song worthy of his trademark reckless enthusiasm, but the rest of the album is unfocused and underdeveloped, which i think are just proxy words for “bad.” At this point, I’m in favor of ending the war just so that Ted Leo can go back to playing soccer and writing about the issues I care about, like eating disorders, and our country’s ever-widening rude boy deficit.

This must be the only MP3 blog on the Internet where the author actually hates all of the music that he pimps to his readers. I love it.
